Optoelectronics I – Overview

 Semester start

The first lecture will start at 10:00 on Tuesday, 3^rd November 2020. There will be no tutorials on that day.

The lecture will start in an online mode via Zoom. The details will be provided later.

The tutorials will start in the second week of the semester, also in an online mode.

• Modulators, switches and amplifiers
• Optical fibers

In addition topics of current research will be covered. Please note that the lecture in the winter semester 2018/19 will cover the "inorganic" part. The organic part will follow in the summer semester 2020.

Exam

The exam is planned for 18^th and 19^th February 2021. The exam will be fully online, each student will give a 15 min presentation (+10 minutes for questions) on an assigned topic.
