The seminar consists of three blocks: It starts with few introductory lectures on the topic and on how to critically read and write a scientific publication. They are given by the lecturers. Then follows a block of seminar talks on topics from imaging and radiation treatment, prepared and presented by the seminar participants, closely supported by Dr. Dedes and Dr. Bortfeldt. The seminar closes with a set of paper presentations and discussions, also prepared by the seminar participants and supported by the lecturers. The papers will focus on certain aspects in more detail, that were introduced in the seminar talks.
The seminar has a strong didactical component. Additional to reading, discussing and presenting scientific content, you will get direct feedback after your presentation/paper discussion and we also offer the possibility to tape your presentation, if desired. The video is then made available only to the respective presenter.
The seminar is intended for bachelor students from the 4th semester onwards, interested in medical physics and/or the skills for reviewing, discussing and presenting scientific content.
