Associated Course: Analog Electronics for the Scientist

Concept of lab course:
- hands-on introduction to circuit fabrication
- introduction to measurement technology
- giving you the opportunity to fabricate a circuit for your seminar presentation

Course topics:
A) Measurement technology:
- power supplies & multimeters
- oscilloscopes
- digitalization

B) Circuit fabrication:
- circuit simulation
- assembly on breadboard
- soldering on PCB
- circuit testing
- error finding

C) Device characterization:
- filters
- diodes
- transistor circuits, etc.

Equipment:
- lab tables, soldering stations, tools, ...
- multimeters, power sources, oscilloscopes, ...
- resistors, capacitors, transistors, op amps, ...
