TMP-TB2: QCD and Standard Model – News

  • Until further notice, due to the current Coronavirus Crisis, the lecture and the tutorials will be held online. We will use the software "Zoom" for the online courses. You can find information on how to use and download "Zoom" here (in German): https://www.it-servicedesk.uni-muenchen.de/it-angebote/zoom/index.html
  • You will receive the "Zoom"-links, which you need to join the online meetings for the lecture and the tutorials, only if you register on LSF: https://lsf.verwaltung.uni-muenchen.de/
  • The tutorials will start in the second week of the semester.
  • Note that the first friday tutorial, on May 1, does not take place, since it is a public holiday. The tutorial will be shifted to April 29, 16.00-17.30.
  • The Friday tutorial has been shifted to Wednesday 14:00 - 15:30.
  • Note that the lecture on May 21 will not take place, since that day is a public holiday.
  • There will be no new exercise sheet for the week May 25 to 29. However, both tutorials will take place, with the following particularities: In the tuesday tutorial there will be a general discussion session (Q&A session) of about 45 mins duration, to which we invite all the students. On wednesday there will be the standard tutorial discussing the 2nd exercise of problem set 4.
  • There will be no lecture on June 11, since that day is a public holiday.
  • In order to find an exam date which is convenient for the largest number of students, we set up a doodle poll here Doodle poll. Please insert your full name and matriculation number, because otherwise your vote will not be counted. Your input will be visible only to us, not to other students! In case you still have doubts regarding privacy issues, you can alternatively just insert your first name into the poll, but then confirm your vote and date via an e-mail from your university account (containing your required personal information and date preference).
  • The exam will take place on August 10, 2 pm. The exam will be held online/at home in the form of an open book exam. To participate in the exam, students need to register until August 9, 23:59. For all relevant information please go to the exam tab.
  • Note the change of the deadline for registering for the exam. It is now August 2. For more details and other edits please go to the exam section.
  • The available time for both the exam and for uploading the solution has been extended. You have now 2.5 hours to solve the exam and 30 minutes to upload your solution.
