Electronics 2 - Digital Electronics:

Short description:
This is a 6 credit course. Eligible are LMU students of the Bachelor's program in physics and students of the Master's program in physics.
The course covers the fundamentals of digital electronics and digital applications in the experimentalist's lab. Selected topics are:
- digital electronics, fundamental concepts, purposes, and utilizations
- number systems and operations
- logic gates and combinational logics
- code converters and (de)multiplexers
- sequential logic, registers, and data storage
- AD converters and DA converters
- memory, SRAM, and DRAM
- interfaces and bus systems
- microcontrollers for lab applications
