Optimized quantum photonics

Prof. Jelena Vuckovic (Stanford University, USA)

Datum:  29.04.2019 17:15 Uhr – 18:30 Uhr

Ort: Hörsaal H030 der Fakultät für Physik, LMU München, Schellingstraße 4, München

At the core of most quantum technologies is the development of homogeneous, long livedqubits with excellent optical interfaces, and the development of high efficiency and robustoptical interconnects for such qubits. To achieve this goal, we have been studying color centersin diamond and silicon carbide, in combination with novel fabrication techniques, and relyingon the powerful and fast photonics inverse design approach that we have developed. Inversedesign enables classical and quantum photonic circuits with superior properties, includingrobustness to errors in fabrication and temperature, compact footprints, novel functionalities, and high efficiency.

Student event: Meet the speaker

We invite you to a student-only discussion-round with Prof. Jelena Vuckovic before her Munich Physics Colloquium talk. Be curious and feel free to ask any question.
Monday, 29th of April 2019, 16:00 h, Room H 522 (5th floor), Fakultät für Physik der LMU, Schellingstraße 4, München.
