Dark matter makes up a quarter of the Universe, but it cannot be any of the known particles. Dark matter is now a leading motivation to look for new particles, and the search has gone into high gear with spectacular progress in dedicated searches, as well as the start of the LHC.I will describe the interplay of dark matter searches and particle colliders, the current status and upcoming prospects, and also some more speculative ideas of what the future may bring.
