Lattice calculation of static quark correlators at finite temperature

We use lattice-QCD as a method to study properties of hot QCD-matter using state-of-the-art simulations with 2+1 flavours of HISQ fermions. We calculate static quark correlation functions that represent important, non-perturbative input for effective field theory studies of quarkonia.
